7520 with me in it. DOR bumper with ramsey 12k winch, nerfs, a few chains and stuff under the seat, and a full tank of gas.

Loaded I run about 9200lbs. That includes a 110 gallon transfer tank, a tool box bursting at the seams, shovels and bars, and my office is in the backseat.

Interesting how the weight of these trucks vary so much, but the fuel mileage seems to stay within a tighter range than the weights.

Heavy hauler

My 3500 weighs 10,050 with me and 100 gal fuel, three tool boxes, 5th wheel and stout Brown's Welding grill/brush guard, side steps and rear bumper. I avg 13. 8 mpg and run 75/80 mph a lot.

I find it somewhat perplexing as to the wide variation in weights

also. My truck seems to be lighter than most at 6480.

Now I'm wondering... ... . Could it be my "53" block being so much thinner?????:--)

My truck on front is 3600 and rear is 2700 with me, fuel and al. tool box in truck with a little junk. Also, the fifth wheel hitch too. Without me and the hitch, the truck would go below 6K.

ronco

And I typically get 22 MPG at 75 MPH unloaded.

this accounts for weight variations

RROWDY and rest:

Weight of drivers varies a lot :D so that counts for some of the diversity in weights. I'm not real versed an making one of our trucks lighter, but start slapping on some these oil refinery pipes for bumpers and nerf bars here in Texas, an extra 65 gal of fuel, two hundred pounds of tool boxes (empty) and fill e'm with lots of tools and you end up with a real road hugger.

My old 2000 2500 QC LB 4X4 weighed 8860 without the aux fuel tank and the fifth wheel. I did squeeze 17 MPG out of it though.

With over 20K miles on my 02 3500, I'm not sure I'll get any better than the 13. 7 unless I keep my foot oout of it. Nahh. No fun in that.

8600 lbs w/driver , fuel , and normal complement of gear. Just about time to do a little toolbox inventory and cleaning :D Been getting 17-18 on the highway on last trip. Finally got the GSK and AFC dialed in today can't wait to take her for a cruise . Oo.

6110 lbs with 1/2 tank of fuel & a rubber bed pad. I wasn't in it at the time..... I wuz outside reading the scale. :D

Oh yeah. Mileage is in around 20. I've never calculated it, actually. All I know is that I can go over 625 miles on a tank.

Well, when unloaded how heavy is your truck.

Mine is 9300 lbs with one person (me) on board.

I have 2 tool boxes, 5th wheel hitch, goose-neck, 5 bumper plus all the needed things to live in the truck for weeks at a time like heaters, porta potties, tools, bedding, TV, VCR, satellite antenna CB and more.

at 9300 lbs at 65 MPH I get about 17 MPG!

So how much does your truck weigh?
