Things went right.

Growing up in Louisiana, the only good paying jobs are at the plants. Refineries and other places like that.

After a little hard work and a lotta luck, I got in one of the plants.

Now I'm out of the plants and working in a pipeline control center that is more like an office job than a working job. :D

I wanted to be a Trashman

when I was a kid. Now I am a Mechanical Engineer. Did I do better? Sometimes I wonder. I bet the Sanitation Professionals get paid more.

((I wanted to be a trash man. :p ))

For the last 12 years I have burnt 1,200 tons of trash a day :{ and supplyed power to 20,000 homes. :D But the last 7 years I have just supervised the burning of the trash. Oo.

Hey Me4, you are a man after my own heart!!!!! ALL of my friends anD I wanted to be trash men. You got to ride around hanging off the back of a truck all day... ... . what could be more male than that. My grand dad use to say that if you become a trash man "It was a free ride and all you could eat... ..... "

I can't believe it! I hav now found the common thread that binds us all as fellow TDR bretheren. I too wanted to be a trashman to ride on the back of the truck. I'm a mechanical engineer now and seem o fix things when people "trash" something. Mom says that I told her when I was about 4 that I wanted to be a trashman or a preacher. My future father-in-law (a preacher) says there is not much difference. :D

I had the space dream also, and still do. One of these days I will get to look down on the earth, maybe only briefly before I win the darwin awards, but one of these days. My other aspirations have come true, I get to play with million dollar machines and make them do things they weren't designed to do... .
