I have watched it, and saw it in person. There is such a thing as over-powering a track, and I think that is the reason that he feathers the throttle the way he did. As for the light amount of smoke, remember... .



Fuel + AIR = power



Guess with 200psi, he had a good mix. :--)

Why on earth would you want high RPM? The powers that be told us all winter REAL power was made below 3200!! They had dyno sheets to PROVE IT!!!Remember?

Andy, the best pull I've ever seen was the guys I told you about in Big Spring, they came out of the hole with a 100ft tall smoke stem and at the shut down had a nice glow and little smoke in the stack. I watched it again and I see what your saying, one thing for sure there not affraid Should have been there but I have a 5000 mile trip at the end of the month planned$$$$

Yeah, I'd love for there to be some pulls down these parts, but oh well.



If you watch that truck you can see what I am talking about. Just think what would have happen if he would have NOT been backing off like he did, he would have spun the tires loose.

He might not have been feathering the throttle as much as we'd like to think... NOS has been known to clean up even the smokiest of trucks (watch Bill K's 8000# run... . ).



The reasons his headgasket let loose is obvious... . high RPM, high EGT, HIGH boost... . and maybe even some drugs... .



The truck falls on it's face due to lack of compression from the headgasket beginning to fail. You can hear it fail right at the end of the run... .



Gene's right... . nobody pulling a sled should ever exceed 2500rpm... . unless they want to compete and WIN!



I just want a shirt that says "Amsoil kicks a$$!!"

Yes, the Amsoil was what made me win, those Mitchell and Piers parts were just along for the ride!!

i put the lockers in so i can hook before 200'. i am still a rookie when it comes to sled pulling. after watching the video's i either need to let out of the throttle or get some more traction. i don't want to lift, so i had to find a way to get it to the ground.



as far as looking for a new sponser, no thanks. look at the video hp wasn't the problem, it was my fault for doing poorley. scheid is supposed to be a great track, i can't wait.

gene you did great, but if you would like to put your $ where your lips are i'm sure we could find a dyno-jet near scheid. we could go best 2 out of 3. sled pulling, dyno, and a friendly drag race. i will not be bringing any n2o with me to scheid, as the rules don't allow it. so just good ol #2 to #2. you pick the $ amount. this is not a dig i just figure enough bs'ing is enough.

lets settle the hp ? for good. i know your not afraid of the dyno. i mean if this is a hp ? lets see what we've got were traction isn't a issue. you out drove me at muncie there's no doubt. i hope schied will let me put some hp down.



heck i put 100+' on lorretta and she was the one have always wanted to beat. she beat me by 4' in the 8000. she has pulled more times in one weekend than i have ever. and she couldn't get her truck to hook, what hope did i have? muncie was a ball but as gene got his butt kicked last weekend, it changes weekend to weekend. hp isn't the only thing going on here.
