This sounds very similar to one that I replied to about 1 month ago. The truck was in Italy, the Carfax said that it was licensed in Texas one month prior and had 3K more miles one month prior. The guy quit emailing me when I asked him about these issues. I looked at the profile of the this seller and they only buy things in the UK and they have never sold anything before. I wonder what their story is, a dead relative that they are merely liquidating their assets so that they can return back to the UK? Just a guess.

Sounds too good to be true.

My roomate was contacted by ebay about this. Some person had hacked into his account and they were posting things for sale under his name. Nothing came of it. Ebay seems to be pretty good at finding these things.

what ever they were selling it doesn't come up as a listing now. what was it? i have mostly good experiences with ebay. i got scammed on a few things because i went past the 30 day mark to report it. once you past the 30 days you might as well forget it.
