Fleetguard spun-off from Cummins?

Hello
So I’m getting a choppy exhaust sound like I’m having a misfire but doesn’t seem like a missfire. I’m not feeling a shake from the engine and I only notice it between 1500 and 2k rpm. The engine was rebuilt about 3000 miles ago and has all new everything. It is bored .020 over, Hamilton towing cam, new stock turbo, 4 inch mbrp exhaust, 2% bbi injectors, s&b intake, mopar rebuilt head. It’s an 03 3500 and nv5600 with a Valair dual disk clutch, It’s not tuned. It doesn’t feel under powered just makes a choppy sound and it kinda driving me crazy. I can look past it but I feel like something is wrong. I’ve heard it in big trucks but my 05 doesn’t make the sound, it is an automatic though. I’ve checked the valve lash and it was good. I checked the exhaust manifold at each cylinder with a heat gun and they were even temps. I guess I’m just looking for some direction as to what the sound may be from or if anyone else’s truck does it too. The only part of the rebuild I didn’t check was the head. Silly me I just assumed it was good because I bought it rebuilt. I was thinking a broken valve spring but I checked and I didn’t see and that looked broken. It idles fine and isn’t noticeable above 2k rpm’s. There is no blow by either. This video is what it is doing. Any help is appreciated.

Maybe do another video and run the engine at different rpm,s to compare sound. From what I hear, everything is normal, or I am not hearing what you are hearing.

but my 05 doesn’t make the sound,

Does the '05 have a Hamilton towing cam, same injectors, and same exhaust? If not, then you are not comparing apples to apples.

My 05 has stock injectors and a 4 inch mbrp exhaust but I know there are more injection events so maybe that is changing the sound. I’m just afraid I’m going down a dead end street trying to find a problem that might not be there. I talked with Hamilton cam and they thought it was a valve spring which is why I checked them. I didn’t have the video at the time when I contacted them. It’s reassuring if it sounds normal to you, might just be in my head. Thank you for your repy.
