Soot Stain Remover

What have you all used to get the soot stains of of your truck? I've got a white truck and I had not washed it in a long while due to an injury/laziness and when I washed it yesterday I had some spots that wouldn't come out. What seems to work the best?

[TORQUE THIS]

WD-40 works fine. Just be sure to clean the area really good and get a few coats of wax on there!

simple green works too

Castrol's Purple Power (I think that the name of it). Comes in a purple bottle. Anyways, the soot rolls right off the bumper, paint, wherever. Also does a nice job on making the exhaust look semi new.
