Well, I wanted my wife to get a dodge, but with that glorified back seat that dodge has, she had me go get a ferd, She told me not to tell you guys, perhaps you might be mad, atleast I still have a cummins:{

My brother just dropped off his 500+ HP '02 Sport to get stripped down and a flatbed put on it today. It's gonna be a farm truck. I'm waiting right now (literally sp) for him to get here w/ his Che*y Duracrap. Oh well, they are nice rigs too :rolleyes: .

-Also, he was drivin' one of the farm trucks ('01 Powerjoke) back to the shop today from the body shop. It blew up!!! 98,000 mi. on it and it just got back from the dealer last week who supposivley (sp) fixed it. :rolleyes:

Yesterday I offered to swap company rigs. I would give them the brand new 04 ferd SD F250 V10 for a Gen2 CTD.

She said "No way, we already have a one ton diesel Ford with a flatbed that has been in the shop too many times. "

Shucks. :(

I almost bought a Ford for my Supervisor because of the extra crew cab room. We sat the guys in my '03 and there was plenty of room for four men, but not five. In the end I decided the Cummins and the NV-5600 were worth the hassel for the odd time he'd have more than three passengers.

Do with the Ford as you would the Dodge - read up on their weaknesses, and do what you can to reduce or eliminate them, and keep a close *informed* eye on the ones you can't! ;)

I sometimes get a bit :confused: with the back seat issue . Just how much room is needed? I have had some pretty big people complement the back seat in mine and the fold down floor is a mighty big plus.

Good luck with your Ford :) .

wow you must not have kids, Or you have never seen the back seat of the ford, DON'T take this the wrong way,, but I would not make My kids sit back there for a period of time, sorry Nor would I myself sit back there,, NO Im not a ford guy though I do own one of each. I do love cummins, and I STILL have one

We're so spoiled. If my kids don't have enough room in the back of my Dodge, well I guess I don't feel too sorry for them. After all I remember the days when we all cramed into regular cabs, kids and all. If I had to haul 240 lb. adults around all the time then I would agree it's small.

I had a Crew Cab GMC for the last three years. The back seat is as big and comfortable as the front seat. Can't say the same with the Dodge.

The GMC also had a drop down center console with cupholders. The same rear doors and seats as the Suburban. The backs are laid back somewhat so you don't have that upright feel like you get with our trucks. Nice for long trips. If it wasn't an important issue, you wouldn't hear so many people mention it. And you hear it more from the owners themselves.

But you're correct... we don't sit back there.

I have kids and the QC has lots of room. As I said previously, just bought another one for the crew. I took a couple of guys out to my truck and had them sit in the back and adjust the fronts to where they would normally be, ect. The verdict was that the Dodge QC was suitable for up to four men. The true CC's have a little more room, especially in the centre rear and as has been mentioned the seat backs are a little more laid back on the others. My point? Yes I would have preferred to have a GM or Ford sized rear seat on our company truck, but not enough to make up for all the other stuff. Conversly, No I wouldn't want a true CC for my personal use. There's lots of room for the kids in the QC and I prefer the shorter overall package.

There's an old bluegrass song where the man sings, "I'm gonna wear the pants" and the woman follows up with, "and I'm gonna tell you which pair to wear. "

Either way, somone grab a rope... :eek:

Trust me, I would rather have a cummins, the back seat and the insurance diff. (which was 250. 00 diff for 6 months)made up her mind, we are not brand loyal thats for sure, When we go on trips you should see us all crammed up Inside my truck, Its a sight, at least we have more room now plus I got a tv, brake controler,brush guard for free. I just hope this school bus will last
