Okay, this site totally rocks.

Kevin, thanks for the loaner of your TDR so I could get some reading done in the reading room... . he he he.

Thanks to all of the contributors of this thread. Those are some great ideas. Since I don't know how to weld and don't want to pay a body shop, I am going to go with the epoxy option and see how that works out. All great ideas though. One of the maintenance guys I work with offered to weld up the holes, but I will try that as option B.

By the way, Kevin has an evil plan to convert me to be a mad BOMBer like the rest of you guys. As it stands now, I have a 97 2500 that is stock stock and more stock. I still love it though. I has plenty of acceleration and pull for my needs since I am mostly a daily driver. I bought the truck because I needed a 4x4, I needed a truck to haul materials and wanted a diesel so I could count on longevity out of a used vehicle. Now I got this Kevin guy telling me about little black boxes, fuel pump mods, A pillar guages and crazy stuff like that. Somebody please help me before Kevin converts me to the dark side of truck ownership. My wife will leave me and I won't be able to afford dog food for ol' yellar.

Sorry, got a little carried away. Thanks again, guys. See you on the road. I will be the one grinnin' ear to ear.

Bmad! Make sure you have a comfortable dog house!:D

I have not joined the bombers but feel like a horse in a dry field looking at a green field of alfalfa.

ROTFLMAO!! Mmmmmmmmmm this alfalfa sure tastes great. It's greeeeeeeeen and yuuuuuuuuuuuuuummy :D ! Wonder what those guys are doin' over there in that big brown field when they could frolick here in our nice GREEN alfalfa field all day! #ad

I am with you there, Happy Camper. A little more horsepower is always nice when you need it... ... or when you just want to pull away from brand x a little faster.

Hey Happy, you get the feeling these guys really feel sorry for us? Man, where is the love in this cruel world?

Welcome BMAD

The first thing I would BOMB is the doghouse LOL. Then the truck:D . My '95 was very inexpensive to BOMB. I contacted TST, they have excellant service. BOMB On, Sam.

Oh no, not you too, Jetson? This whole site is trying to lure me over to the dark side. Okay, so what gives on the free horsepower, Jetson?

Kevin:

First: fix up the dawg house nice... you need to be comfortable. Next, you need to make a list of everything to set your rig up to skoot, haul and/or tow. Then, you need to justify: better fuel mileage, show ferds and shebys your tailgate moving away and to tow them big trailers.

The wife will learn to treat the rig as a part of the family. ;)

Welcome aboard: whether your straight stock or BOMBED to the hilt, TDR is a great place to chat and make friends. I'm a member of many organizations and this is by far the best one yet.

Take care, Wiredawg

Dog food

Before you start bombing try out several cans of dog food and see which ones are the best. Personally I use the dry stuff. The can stuff is too slimy for me. The dry stuff aint too bad after a couple beers. Also go for the dry dog biskets for dessert. Stay away from the raw-hides. Very tough to chew. ;)

Good luck.

See Brian, I knew it wouldn't take you long to come over to the dark side and join us... . ha ha ha...

I sure hope you like the dog house..... cause just like the rest of us... your gonna need it. That is until your wife gets behind the wheel of your truck. BTW. . tell her that Jamie and I said "HI"

Guys, Guys, Guys!

You have to use the proper sell technique on the wife unit. This is not BOMBing, it is preventative maintenance. Repeat after me, preventative maintenance.

Cheers;

Wow, the TDR is addicting AND wellet emptying... No wife here so no need for the dog house but I kind of wish I had one of those wife deals, am I crazy??? Don't even have a girlfriend...

Dog House BOMBing Expert for hire!

Bmad, Welcome aboard! Although I don't even rank amongst the Neophytes compared to most here when it comes to Diesels, I do have my fair share of experience when it comes to comfortizing my dogloo's and kennel. Anytime you need advice how to install evaporative AC, plumbing, bathroom fixtures, and auto-feeders on the cheap, just holler! ;) I've had many years experience in this field. I have no less than 11 very qualified referrals. IOW, BOMB'on as you are in good hands regardless of the consequences heaped upon you by the better half.
