I have an 06' with a Smarty and I thought the Con Ofe would hold but no dice! It has been in my truck for about 7 months and about 6 thousand miles. I usually run SW3 with mild tq mngt on the Revo software and tow about 10k once a month. Smoked the clutch pulling my trailer the last two times to the beach,(in the sand) not too hard on it. Last night I raced at my local track(SW9 wild tq) and the second run all it did was slip as soon as I grabed 3rd gear and so on. Firt run was a 15. 2 second was a 16. 4! I guess I need more clutch. Any Ideas? I do not want this to happen again! What do I need in a streetable/Raceable clutch? My truck hit the rollers at 501hp and 952tq with a hot juice. HELP

At May Maddness 08, Peter from Southbend mentioned a new "streetable" dual disc clutch. He said it engages smoother than a ConFE and has more holding power than the ConFE.

an OFE has no place in a warmed over CR truck IMO

these trucks will murder a clutch with even a moderate programmer (as you've found)

I recomend an FE at MINIMUM in a common rail... dual disk is preferred

Your clutch is only rated to hold 450HP

As for the original poster, feel free to call and we can work out an upgrade.

That's why I went with South Bend - had excellent service/support on my Y2K truck (Con O in that one).

Thanks Peter

South Bend's customer service is 2nd to none

Spoke to Peter today and all I can say is WOW!! One Hell of guy. Great customer service, he went out of his way to take care of me. Thanks Peter
