I got a new Crutchfield catalog and they say a 6x9 in the front door and a 6 1/2 in the Quad Door. Their web site only lists 6 1/2's for both doors. I'm not looking to cut metal to install new speakers, just replace the factory stuff with much better. If you've got a less expensive place to purchase stereo stuff than Crutchfield let me know. Thanks

Metal Tech,

The front door is a 6x9 size for sure in my 01. If you are looking for speakers that will fit with no mods, go to some car stereo stores and listen to the different manufacturers 6x9s on display because the sound varies widely. Once you find a brand you like use a search engine like "dogpile.com" to find the best prices. If you want the best sound you can get you have to move away from the mainstream auto speakers and custom install speakers meant for home sound. Madisound.com is a great source for the more exotic and great sounding stuff. Be patient getting the rear speakers out, lotsa stuff has to be removed to get to them in a regular cab.

Metal Tech, Just for your info, Crutchfield IMHO is great for service but can be beat on price. I fyou want to just upgrade your speakers I would agree that listing to them at a shop makes a lot of dif. You can fit almost anything in the front doors without mods. 6 1/2's in the rear also fit easy with no cutting. I would suggest though a four channel amp to run then and you will have a great sounding system. Try audio-warehouse.com some good deals! Dave:)
