ok so it started out i was just gonna throw in a set of speakers a cheap upgrade from the blown infinity speaker, installed all new speakers in the front and rear doors and they sounded worse then the factory ones, after looking online i find that the infinity system runs on 2ohm and my mbquarts are 4 ohm. talked with the guys at the local radio shop and they said i need to bypass the factoy infinity amp thats behind the glove box. so i bought the interface (peripheral CHYAA) so i can plug it into the factory head unit without any cutting or modifications this interface will give me a set or RCA's to connect my amp to. after two days of pulling the dash apart and getting everything in and hooked up i have power to the speakers but no sound. they have a very low sound when i put my ear up to the speaker, i dont know where i went wrong? i also tried a different set of RCA's, a different amp, different speakers. i dont know what else to try, does any one have any ideas? has anyone else ran into this problem? its an 05 quad cab with the infinity system if it helps. thanks for any help!

Are you using the stock speaker wiring? The wires between the b pillar and the rear doors are known to break from the flexing when opening the doors. Both sides broke on my truck.

Sounds like the factory head unit dose not have enough output. The wiring kit you got may be for the non-infinity head unit. When I first put a system in my truck I did not know about the Infinity systems amp and head unit combo, I tried to use the factory speaker wires from an aftermarket head to the speakers and it did not work. Maybe a new head would solve the problem.
