I saw the story on the news about the tax by the mile in Oregon. (Cant wait for it to happen in Washington. Surprised we didnt do it first)
For the mileage tax, its bad enough that they are getting more into our pocket. But, with mileage tracking, the ramifications are much deeper than that. I just cant believe that the aclu isnt going after that. Can you imagine what the gov will now know about you ? And what they can do with that kind of information ? There was a time in this country when that would have sparked a violent revolution.
We are not talking about additional security measures in time of war here. We are talking about total government control of your daily life. Now insurance companies can raise your rates because of where, when, and how far you drive. You can become a suspect in any kind of case because they can now prove where, when you've been. etc. Even communist China and Communist Russia didnt have this kind of tracking at their worst.
Just my 2 Cents
