Speedometer/Odometer.....

I have a 1992 D250 that has a problem with the instrument cluster. I took it down and found the gears for the odometer and cracked and also found that the speedometer board is burnt. Is there anyone that knows any hidden jewels that I could find. I am also open to going aftermarket if there is anyone that would have a write up on it. Thanks.
