Also I have heard some say flip a Brodie? Is that the same too???

I never heard of "Spin a Cookie", or "Flip a Brodie". Let's make up stuff about them and circulate the sayings around in the Ford site :)

I remember some slang words when they began. It seemed almost like me and my buddies made up the words and soon the whole world was using them.

illflem- somewhere I've seen pictures of an LST outfitted with Piper "L" birds. Deck was covered with planks, and rudders were removed from birds on deck-about 10- for clearance. The retreival was via the Brodie method. I can't remember if it was WWII or Korea. If you give me a few months, I'll try to find the source. But ya hafta ask nice;) Greg

If you can imagine coming in at about 60mph and doing a reverse trap- hook above wing, and then riding the wild beast to a stop, dangling over the water... I think I'd name a ride like that after the inventor too! Of course, I'd add a few adjectives. :)
