Like the title says the tabs on my sport grille broke off. I only use the truck to pull my trailer so it doesn't get out much. I was cleaning it up when I noticed that the tabs on the grille had cracked and the grille was loose at the sides. This was from just sitting. Fixed it with some plastic weld epoxy and thought I had it fixed. Was out there today cleaning it again and the epoxy did not hold. I have only driven it from the front to the back yard. Anybody have a fix for the tabs? It looks like over time the plastic shrinks causing it to crack and break. TIA

Thanks for the tip I'll look into it. I can't believe my grille is the only that the tabs have broken off. It just looks like the plastic is shrinking and they break off. Anyone had/have this problem?

When mine broke off, I also tried epoxy (JB Weld) and like you, it didn't hold. But a pair of plastic zip-ties did the trick and are pretty unobtrusive unless you are looking right at them from up close. Give it a try; if you don't like it they're easy to remove.

I also was having issues with my Sport Grill tabs breaking off but am not anymore.

It seemed my problem stemmed from the bug deflector that slid down behind the grill and was tightened from behind. The years of frontal wind assault and one to many hits with the debris from the road snapped off the outside tabs and was breaking the mounting bolts from their plastic resting spots. My original grill is here in the shop hanging and I found a good Flame Red used Sport Grill to hold me over until I either find a good replacement or find a 99-01 complete Flame Red Sport front end. Once I removed the bug deflector the breaking stopped and I also used wire ties to hold the broken tabs... ... andy
