I was just wondering if any one knew some web sites that had the sport headlights or somthing close, cheaper than what the dealer is asking. I was quoted around 500$ just for parts at my local dealer:eek: . Thanks for the help.

Try importvision.com for the light housings(around $200) located in Simi Valley and suvlights.com for the wiring harnesses. I used 1 per side and they have relays. Tell the suv guy what you have and its plug and play. He is located in West Covina. Alot of information on build your own wiring harness in the search forums

Glad to have helped. After you get them installed,go to a body shop and get them adjusted. They attach some kind of tool that puts them right on. I run sylvania silvers in all 4 bulbs and have never had anyone high beam me at night. Don't pay more than $20 to have them adjusted.

Thanx, I have a good friend that works at a local body shop that will hopefully do it for free. How do you like your sylvania's?

I have been looking at the PIAA's Super white bulb.

Very bright and great light but only about 10 months and both 9007 bulbs went bad within 4 days of each other. Then again I work nights and use my headlights alot. I also thought I had a wiring issue when they went bad. High beam bulbs went on in low beam mode. At least something worked and I still had lights. This Mod. Is well worth the money. Good luck and have fun. Easy to do.

Thanks again for the info. I have all the parts ordered from import vision. I can't wait to install them I'm glad to here you say that the install is easy because I am doing it myself. So wish me luck:D and take care.

I ordered the installation parts from Daniel Stern Lighting. He has kit for the regular to sport conversion. It includes 3 relays, 3 relay sockets, 3 inline fuses, 4 heavy duty light sockets with 12 AWG wire pigtails, and 2 female plugs for the oem light sockets. The only thing additional needed is 12 AWG wire. The whole kit cost $79 which I didn't think was too bad considering I would have spent $50-$60 in rounding up the parts myself, not to mention I had a heck of a time finding light sockets with 12 AWG pigtails. I have attached a pic of the kit.

discalimer: I am not affiliated with Daniel Stern Lighting. I just thought I would post this info as it may help somebody out.

Im pretty sure that beginning in 01 you didn't have to modify the headlight bucket for the conversion. I just did the conversion on my 02 and love it. I got the wiring harness from suvlihgts.com. Great guy to deal with, he messed up my order, only sent me part for 9004 to 9007, but called him up, and he sent the new parts the next day. So I only have the 9007's hooked up right now, but that in itself is quite a difference. Hope you like the conversion, I think that it was well worht it. James

On my 2000 the lenses fit right in. Out with the old and in with the new. Mine might have been a little easier to do than most. The black plastic piece on top of the bumper was already messed up and I pulled it off, did the conversion and replaced with new. I had alot of room. The new part was only $70 and local Dealer had it in stock.
