From what I understand a case of Linburger is included with the delivery. :-laf

Enjoy the new truck.

Tillamook and WSU Cougar Gold are best types of cheese out there.

My sport has over 19,000 miles the front end has no chips yet. The rear bumper is another story, I hauled a few loads of gravel and I covered the tailgate to protect it, but as the gravel went in it came off the cover and pretty much bead blasted the 'step' in the bumper. Oh-well it is a truck.

Steve,

As I said earlier, I really like the looks of the sport (specially Casey's black dually!:D ), but I was concerned with scratches and marks. I test drove a black sport and there was already a good sized scratch on the black bumper. Ideally, I would like the sport grill with the SLT lower chrome bumper and chrome rear bumper. I figured I could just buy or trade a ST black grill for my chrome one and have my local bodyshop paint it. Then I would buy the sport (or '04 laramie) inserts.

KBennett, I also thought the chrome grill made the front end look huge coming from a second gen, but after looking at nothing but 3rd gens for months now, the 2nd gen grills look small to me.

As has been mentioned time and time again: to each thier own. All your trucks look great and it would be boring if they were all the same.

Dave

Dave, I was giving you poo poo. I certainly like your idea of a chrome bumper and a body color grill. If that would have been an option then that is the route I most likely would have went.

Unfortunately you can't get the sport in patriot blue. :(

I'm not really a fan of painted bumpers myself but I recently saw a white sport pulling a travel trailer that was completely white except for some graphics, it looked great IMO.

Scotty

i saw sport bumpers ready to be painted on ebay for 100 buck i am buying one. i am also gonna find a grile outline in black then have it painted, and throw my billet grill on that one. :D

DF5152 ever think about using "Blackout paint" (Night Shade) on the clearance light to complete the package? Am considering doing it to my Ram...

Thanks, Dave.

I had the rig built up 3" at the Teton factory for my 98. 5. It worked with the '03 as well. The clearance is about 6" on the rails and there are no issues there. The rig is a widebody and nearly 13' so I doubt if there are any back country or Forest Service campsites in my future, with this rig anyway.

I think chrome is cheesey too! :D

after seeing the pic of that silver sport, I think I'm gonna have to bite my tongue... that thing looks SWEET!!! I thought originally this was posted on the 2nd gen board. I don't like the 2nd gen sports that much, but all of the 3rd gen trucks I've seen I really like!

Silver may be sweet, but real men drive black trucks. :D I have been telling Dean that for over a year now and he just won't believe me.
