2nd Gen Non-Engine/Transmission Sportlight upgrade help needed

I did the Sportlight upgrade today and all seemed to go well. But I got problems when I tested them. When I turned them on they worked and I noticed that the HI beams where on when I should of had LOW beams and vice versa. THen I noticed that the lights would not turn off. Light switch off, truck off, HI beams still on. I have to disconnect the power disconnects on the batteries to get them off. If if plug power disconnects back in immediately, lights stay off until I turn on lights with light switch or "turn signal" flash.



Straight forward install. positive connects are on the batteries. Grounds are under fender bolts (ground paint off for good ground). NO other upgrades to light system and lights worked fine before upgrade except for fogged over light housings. Any help would be appreciated.

I had the same problem. The orange plug goes to the 9004 and the gray goes to the 9007 bulb. That fixed the problem on mine which you have described.

1100, Do a search on this site and type in " sport headlight problem", I just did and there are several responces to the same kind of issue you are having. I don't recall if your truck has fog liights or not but there should be a something there to get you started in the right direction, Just did the install myself and am waiting on the suv wire harness to get to the house.
