Engine/Transmission (1998.5 - 2002) SPS owners isthe upgrade from PS worth the extra $?

Right now im running a PS62 just wondering what to expect if I send my ps off to be Supered. Im about to take the dive and tap the wire with a drag-comp and im worried about high EGTs with the catcher-SP too. comments?
