This is driving me nuts! My clutch pedal is sqeaking VERY consistantly. I have sprayed WD-40 on overy moving part that I can see under there with no results. Anybody have any other ideas?

also check outside there truck where there is a pivot point they can squeak also and be real anoying, if i remember right, its behind the drivers side front wheel well.

are you talking about the annoying squeek squeek I get that sounds like it is coming from behind my fuse panel gauge pod area but behind it. I get this the most when turning and going about 15 mph when the cab rolls alittle. what can be done on this.

Just spray the plastic bushing that hooks to the clutch rod with lithium grease or Panther ****, works great. Spray your door hinges while you have it out.

Well, I bought some silicone spray today (it was all wal-mart had) and I'll remove the kick panel and spary it up good tomorrow. I'll let you know how it goes... .....

Mine pedal started squeeking also on and off and I sprayed with WD-40 and that fixed it.

Well I too have tried the WD-40 and had great results last winter. This year nothing was working. Even the silicone spray I bought last night. SO, I removed the clip holding the rod onto the pedal and pulled it out to make sure that was where the squeak was coming from and it was. I sprayed the whole area again and the squeak was gone. NOW, I have a loose clutch pedal! I think a bushing or something must have fallen out. All I saw was a plastic washer come out and I out it back in, but I have 1-2 inches of play at the top side. Does anyone have a parts list of the hardware that is supposed to be in there?

I hit it with white LI-grease and it still squeaks. It does it more int he morning than the evening. Squeaked a couple of years ago and I use the same grease and it took a couple of days to stop. Hopefully this time too. It is driving me nuts.

There is a bushing that goes in that assembly. It has a flange on one end, then a washer and then the clip. It would easier to make a new on if you lost it, (if know someone that can use a lathe). I had some play in my clutch and before i knew my master cylinder was dead. I replaced the whole unit with the South Bend unit. it easy to replace, and is much nicer than OEM.

will the play in mine lead to a master cylinder going out? I think the actual clutch rod through the firewall is moving through it's entire range. I pull up on the pedal with my foot everytime I shift just to be sure too.

Does anyone happen to have P/N's for the bushings and stuff? I went to Checker yesterday and was not surprised that they had nothing for me. I will call Chrysler tomorrow but would love to avoid some confusion and just quote #'s rather than try to explain what I need.

Wow it's been a long time! I did eventually go to the dealership and bought a bag of plastic parts... . that fit NOWHERE in the whole pedal assembly. That was back in August and if you have been following anything in this 24 valve forum, I now have the engine out as well as the transmission and am in the process of rebuilding both. I can't afford a new clutch now but mine has plenty of life left in it. I think I am gonna try to figure out the pedal problem tonight though... . never be any easier, right?!

I always prefer to not talk to DC as well, it never turns out good. let us know how you make out with that pedal. it's been a while since i've looked at mine but let me know if you have any questions. I haven't had any problems with the clutch, but i still get that dam sweak this time of year. I tend not to even notice it anymore , but people who drive with me sure do.

Warn shaft and bushings

I just ordered the pedal shaft and bushing from the dealer today ($60. 00) I was replacing the hyd assembly this am when I noticed I have 2" of play in the clutch pedal and it has been squeaking for the past year the shaft has wear, my clutch pedal went all the way to the floor.

I upgraded to the SBC adj hyd assembly, WOW what a difference, bigger slave and master cyl and the adj is great. Pedal goes down a lot easier and can be adj higher. Did not help my problem still have to replace the clutch#@$%!
