So Tomeygun... are you going to offer this as a "dealer installed" accessory? LOL :-D

Well, the thought has crossed my mind... I am in the process of have a machine shop make a clean adapter to make the install very simple... .

I will post if I can get one made

PS - I had to index the stifter by grinding the bottom (to get it to rotate further to look right) - FYI if anyone does it and is short on rotation of the shaft

sweet...

i'm still thinking of doing this, or making up something of my own out of some 5/8" hex stock... hard to get locally here, but i think i can get it... coupling nuts are kinda expensive in 14x2. 0mm... like $13cdn a piece... but i can make a matching stock for the 4x4 shifter too... another project to add to the "to do" list [either this srt or the home brew... ]

OK here is the prototype STRAIGHT hurst shifter:

PM if you have ?'s about pricing, etc

And the ordering just opened for the Real Srt-10 hurst mopar shifter - I am wondering how many to buy?

Drop me a pm if you might be interested in either one

PS - I have this beta version already going out to be tested to fun, durability, etc

Cya!!

Is it a different shifter, or just the handle and the steel extension.

Can you get the SRT accents in the tan? (steering wheel, shifter ball, SEATS:D, etc)

It is a hurst shifter, with a stock bottom to attach to the stock lower part

The hurst shifter originally had an old-school-double-bolt-hole attachment, But I cut that off and welded from there

I was at my dealer and asked about that same shifter going into my 2005 w/G56... . If you make it, people will buy it... I want one Ill send a PM requesting the detail... . Very COOL

Will the COMPLETE Hurst Shifter From the SRT-10 Adapt to the G56?

Well... it will complete from what you will see... the welded part will be covered by the boot

I will have to get find a local TDR member with a G56 here so we can test what I have - The stock shifter IS different

Check these pics:

PS - So far the stock shifter is looking less expensive from Dodge, crazy huh?

Tomeygun's SRT-10 shifter looks great!!! What I like the most, and need, is the curve in the shifter that places the knob a little closer to the driver.

While at May Madness, I ran across a guy that has a "Whiplash Shifter" in his truck. It has a similar curve or bend in the shifter that the SRT-10 has. I believe Whiplash just bends the stock shift levers and then repaints them. I believe they are about $175. 00, exchange.

Do any of you metal bending experts know how to bend these shift levers without putting kinks into the metal where the bends are? There must be some way of doing it. What kind of metal shop would do something like this and what would it cost for two bends?

I'm happy with my stock shift knob and don't need the chrome Hurst shifter but, would like to have the knob a little closer to the driver.

Thanks for your suggestions.

Didn't mean to hi-jack this thread but, this was somewhat on topic.

I have no idea how to do it, That why I did the SRT-10 shifter mod

And I can say that I am totally happy with the way it fits, etc :p - And for about the same amount (actually less without the SRT-10 ball)

UPDATE -

I broke the weld while racing...

stronger material to be tested... .

YIKES! I can see it now over on DieselStop... "I raced a Cummins today and... " ;)

Oh, and if you do ever get a G56 shifter going lemme know. I find that the stock shifter is pretty easy to reach already though.
