Stack question. I did a search and found a lot of info and grate pics but not what I was looking for. I was looking to see how far above the roof do your stacks go? And Is there anybody out there running stacks with the rain caps/ flappers on?

How big are the stacks you are looking at? I have two 5" turn outs with 4" from the turbo back. There is pretty good presure coming out both sides but I dotn think it is enough for flappers. On the other part mine are about 6" above the cab. I was thinking of cutting them down but they are kinda growing on me that high more people can see. Might wana give Rob Thomas a call he is a member he will work with you and get ya what ever you want.

You can always add a little wieght to the counterbalance side of the rain cap. ;)

Tough to find a chrome cap though. (not sure a galvanized cap would look OK on a chrome stack  )

I have 6" angle cut stacks and they stick up 26 3/4" from the top of the bed rail at the back of the cab. If you want flappers it sounds like you want to put flat tops on yours. My friend has them on his truck and his are flush with the top of the cab and dont look too bad like that. I can get ya chrome or zinc plated flappers.

My brothers were quite a bit taller then the cab. 2 feet maybe. Gave him crap about them being too tall. After he cut them down to about a 10" taller then the cab it got real loud in the cab. Before it was no different then 4" straight under the truck. Caps are easy to find. I would call I80 to, they are just up the road a piece from here.

I'm gonna put stacks on my 90 after I get a flat bed. Going with 6" miter cut flush with the cab. But mine will be for fourwheeling, can't have tree limbs modifiying the exhaust. Mine won't be a daily driver either. A little (lot) of noise is ok for my toys.
