Thanks y'all. I'm going to stack it. Do you have any suggestions on what exhaust to go with?
How about both?

Have you read the thread on the exhaust cut-out?

You could run a cut out into twin straight stacks and with the flip of a switch back to quiet stock system. Maybe cut the stock tail pipe back a little just enough so its not showing.

Stack Pics

These are all my stack pics.....

PICS

Word to the wise- very loud, high maintinance, and expensive.

I left mine tall for that "Extra Cocky" look but I think it helps keep the soot off of my white paint. Bugs are a pain in the butt to keep off of em but that should be expected. I have had no problems with heat buildup with the covers on top to hide everything. No, that is not a huge toolbox - I add a piece of diamondplate to the rear. It keeps everything from sliding underneath and getting close to the pipes. This summer I will pull the toolbox out to polish and will take pics of the pipes.

Parts list:

-4" downpipe with 5" flange

-5" flexpipe

-5" spilter

-5" straight pipe

-2 5" elbows

-8 5" clamps

-a couple brackets, bolts, and smashed knuckles

-2 5" chrome stacks

Total cost with box was about $700. Took around 5-6 hours

Okay Fellers,,, I have a few questions regarding my stacking project: =\

Here is what I want: 5", Dual, Clackers, fit behind my gull wing toolbox. I pull a Travel Trailer (pull behind not fifth-wheel) from time to time,,,

Here are my questions:

**Do I want them above the cab, cab height, 45-degree cut, bull horn, straight, other, remember I would like clackers... .

**Am I gonna repaint my trailer alot black, little or who gives a dern - YOU HAVE STACKS!!!

**Do I straight pipe or go with aftermarket muffler, what suggestions do you'all have for a muffler? Remember, I have to keep my interpreter's hearing intact... ...

**I like the looks of Catoiler's rig, seems easy to install also... but no clackers... (see above. )

Now don't all answer at once... but give me some input. I have to sound very smart, soes I can explain to the wife and be convincing. Thanks Fellers!

i plan on a single on the pass side. it will be a month or two, but i need to find a place that will sell me a black stack or a non chrome stack and i will heat coat it with black... . chrome sucks to clean.

stacks

Bmoeller already put a pic of mine in here, just look in my gallery.

I have run a entirely new exhaust, with a partial 4" downpipe to 5" straight pipe all the way to the back. it was loud but tolerable with the stock turbo. With my B1-04 the truck got MUCH louder, it is very bad pulling a trailer on the interstate. I am not sure about the black stack but you could get chrome and spray Dupli-Color's chrome tint on it, I do't know if it will take the heat or not but if it doesn't work you can always have it black ceramic coated.

I put on a Dynaflex resonator (5" in/out). That will help a lot. Killed the drone, took the edge of the sound and deepened it a bit.
