Stage 2 injectors and fuel box or stage 3 and no box?

I am debating the purchase of either installing stage 2 injectors and leaving my truck alone or stage 3 injectors and removing my Banks Ottomind. I don't want to constantly have to back off of the throttle because of EGT's.

Is there someone out there that from experience knows if the EGT's are lower with larger injectors per HP improvement or are they lower with a fueling box per HP improvement? I did briefly try a TST Powermax 3 adjustable box (without Banks Ottomind) but the EGT's were unacceptable above level 3 at WOT.

Get the Superturbo and then you can use more fuel. Who wants to put the power back on the table? We have already been there with the correct and perfect valve configuration (12) and our younger brothers with their excessive number of valves (24) are finding out the same thing. Air+fuel=power=heat.
Give your Ram a present this month, more turbo, don't cut off its [fun?] by cutting back on fuel #ad
 
Berserker,my dad has a '00 that we put a banks Stinger Plus system on. The system didn't make enough power for him ,so we added 275hp injectors. We had power but egt was too high. WE took the 275's out. We replaced the Ottomind with a VA and a PS boost mod. I got the 275's and we put in Bullydog' step 2 in dads. WOW!!This is a good combo if you are looking for usable pulling power without too much egt. We now have an Ottomind with wiring harness and instructions to fit '98. 5 to '00 for sale cheap. I'm running the Banks w/Ottomind, PE EZ box & 275 injectors with no EGT issues. I can't get above 1200 no matter how hard I try.

I put on a more aggressive box than the Ottomind (TST PM3 10 level) and I couldn't go above level 3 without ultra high EGT's (above 1500 not towing!)

How do you like the stage 2's from BullyDog? That's the exact same injectors that I'm thinking about. It's either that or go up to the level 3 and lose the Ottomind altogether.

It sounds like injectors might create less EGT's than a fueling box. That's really the kind of answer that I was seeking from the Guru's out there.

Injectors beat fueling boxes for egt appreciation. You can tow with stage III injectors but you cannot tow with a fueling box maxed.
