Brakesmart vs. Jordan?

Hey, my budy has a new F-650 with a Cat 3126 in it. He hauls for a living and goes all over the lower 48. Can he straight pipe his rig or do they check that and frown upon it at weight stations. He has his CDL if it makes any difference. TIA

My F650 with with C7(basically a late model 3126, has been straight piped for a little over a year now. It is 4" from the turbo to the bottom of the stack and the stack is 5" turn out. It makes is noticabley louder, but not too loud. I have had no problems with law inforcement in Iowa, Illinois, and Missouri. It sounds real nice.

I'm all for it, do it.

I've never been bothered with semi or my Ram.

I have once, with my 93... ... ... that was after I smoked the tires in 2nd, chirped them in 3rd, beat the chevy truck on my left, and was cruising about 50 in a 35 mph... ... ... . right in front of a law enforcement officer  ... ... ... . I thought I was done for after he turned on the cherries. Ended up with a "if you plan on living here you need to put mufflers on your truck" talk. Lived there another 3 years with no muffler on my 93. :-laf
