Shifting Problems or Exhaust Brake

Well, the rig arrived this morning. All in all I’m happy so far. The truck has a few undisclosed issues I should be able to work through. A light h20 stain on the top of the drivers side A pillar; assuming cab lights (this is a non sunroof truck), message center shows tire psi fault (fronts not reading on the display), 3rd brake light, and license plate light. Also strange is the cigarette 12v port in the center console doesnt work. I checked the fuse and its like its not plugged into anything, weird. The truck makes good power, is comfy, and so far gets decent milage, 19-20 truck calculated on a 45 minute ride up to see my tax guy. Thanks to those of you providing suggestions and guidance

That just ain't right being delivered within FORD. :D

The 19-20 "hand calc" number, that simply is not reality! But hey enjoy the new ride!!!

My truck is basically the same with 4.10's and never has seen anything close to 19mpg.

We call it the Lie Meter. Our vehicle's lie meters are usually pretty close though as we have mostly rural driving. Glad you got hooked up with a nice truck.

Cheers, Ron

Ron, It's a Lie - O - Meter! Because we go "O boy, what a lie!". Just wanted to rib you a little! :p :D Have a great day and hope your back is treating you well! Mine has been bothering me with the change in seasons! More stuff to do!
@coreyallan, Looks like you found a nice truck there! The 4.10's won't give you the greatest fuel mileage, but you could pull a house down! The best that I've gotten with mine was 22 and that was on 95 at 75 once I got into the southern half of NC through northern Fla. Just a small load in the bed. That lie - o - meter is based on if you could keep up the current driving conditions is what you can except. Hard to be able to drive those perfect conditions. Enjoy your new "toy"!

Hey thanks, I hear ya. I knew it was off. All my power strokes were. I may fit some 33/34” narrow tires to offset the 4.10s we’ll see. Most of my driving is rural as it is now their perfect but for the semi frequent trek down 95 I feel that my magic 79-80 mph may be a bit much for 4.10s and stock rubber.
