Was that run with, or without the grid heaters installed?



There is a bit of speculation that there might be a difference in performance if the grid heaters are removed - in my area and with zero degree Winter temps, having the grid heaters IS a plus - but on the other hand, if *significant* additional power IS availble when they are removed... :-laf

That was with the grid in place, unfortunately the grid deletes weren't done so that's the only was that I could test them that day.

I recently purchase an Banks intercooler and plumbing that goes with it. Including that massive and ugly intake horn.



However, the bigger tubes that come with the banks kit are nice. Do you think you can fab up a side that will mate to the banks increased diameter tubes?

Yeah I could probably fab one up, Just need to know the tube size and if the plenum starts and finishes at the same point as factory.

This is for a 3rd gen.



I'm not sure about where the banks horn starts in comparison to the stock horn. But it finishes at the same point and height (on the grid heater). It visually looks the same...



I'll pull the banks one off some time this week and put the stock one back on in place and see where all the pipes land to be 100% sure.



From another thread on another site, it looks like it's 3. 5" pipes. So you'll have to tapper it down to 3. 5 nicely or make as much use of the 3. 5" as you can I suppose.



Tho, I won't want such a horn if I don't have tap-able or already tapped sections of metal to put in Nitrous/Water/boost gauge/temp gauge. If it's thin metal and I can't get a good amount of threads in there, it's pointless right?
