Who here has purchased a Standard Transmission rebuilt 4500 with a new fully splinned main shaft and new parts?
Would you do it again? Did the 5th gear fail on the rebuilt ST transmission?
Would you recommend them highly to others?
Since the $$$ to convert to a 5600 is just too much and a new 4500 with the Torque King main shaft form Quad 4X4 is over $3500 (an option I am seriously thinking about), I would like to be able to save $$$ but not at at reliability cost.
I want a complete unit to be ready to install, not rebuild my old one (I don't have the ability to do it and don't know of a good shop to do it in my area).
