Is the ban still lifted?

Experiencing another cold snap here, probably got down to minus 10f overnight.

I have a little jar of B-50 that I saved when I changed my fuel filter, that same B-50 is currently in my tank. I put the jar out on the porch last night, it was completely cloudy in the morning. Still liquid, but beyond cloud point for sure.

Had the truck plugged in overnight, it started right up and ran fine.

Well, it ran like it was about 0 degrees outside, not happy, but it ran.

So, my question is what is the relationship between "cloud point" and the point at which you start to gel and have fuel system failure, does that occur closer to "pour point" ?

That usually occurs when your truck won't start or run! Are you adding any PS Artic Express? Will help to lower it even more!

When it gets cold, and your sample is cloudy, it WILL start to plug up your filter. Untill the truck warms up completly and the fuel is being warmed up in the tank via the bypass/overflow, plus you have a fuel heater in the filter housing. When it gets real cold i keep some K1 around, just a couple gallons will cut the cloud point quite a bit.

A fuel pressure gauge is real handy to have, it lets u know when you are having an issue, post filter.

My truck is a 95. 5 24V so i have some different issues with the Vp44.

The cloud point is the point where the bd starts to turn to "butter/jell" and the "cloud is little particles that are like gelling and will not go through your filter, they will pile up and plug the filter altogether. The good news is, only a couple degrees warmer the cloud will disappear . I keep a sample of what is in my tank in a jelly jar on my cup holder . That way i keep tabs on whats going on in the tank, and if it doesnt look good , In goes the K1.
