starter question

will a starter off a early 90's school bus fit our 1st gens ? Can buy it right an owner claims it is the same, but it looks wrong to me. Don't want to lay in snow to pull my good starter just to try it. what say you ? thanks, Will

Probly not. Different flywheel housing/engine adaptor, starter probly on wrong side etc.

The starter is on the top of the right side of the trans adapter and they mount upside down, on my 1989 application.
