Just for anyone wondering. Since my 2016 does not have a built in monitor like the 2019+ I used the torque pro app with a couple of custom PIDs to monitor the soot level and when a regen triggered. Here is a screen shot so you can get an idea of what I am talking about. When the gauge hits 100% it triggers a regen, the regen button go's green and turns to "on" and you will see the S3 EGT rise up to ~1100 degrees. When complete it shuts off and the soot gauge is usually around ~15% and the process starts over again. You can see here I was at around 28 hours and 1100 miles on this one
