Sensorship on the TDR ????

i really dont think its an issue with me. i didnt have that as a part of my vocabulary anyway. hey Mike here is one for the other side of the fence though.

I bought an brand new 2001 truck. at the time of its first oil change i commenced to change the oil. I bought a filter from my dealer and bought dyno oil that was diesel rated. i drained all the oil out and went to remove the filter. (remember its the first oil change ever on the truck) it wouldnt come off using reasonable force. i could have gotten it off but started thinking something had to be wrong with it to be stuck that bad. i put oil back in it and took it to my dealer the next morning.

it took two techs both with a pair filter wrenches about fifteen minutes to get the filter off. they topped off my oil and sent the truck out of the shop. i returned to the desk to get my keys and was presented with a bill for ONE oil filter, ONE quart of oil and a 1/4 hour of labor. after arguing with sevice writer then the service manager for a good ten minutes i agreed to pay the bill and left. to never return!

moral of the story. i did what i thought was the right thing. if i had gotten the filter off at home and found damage to the filter base or cross threads or what ever. i would not have leg to stand on. so in return i got to pay $31 for them to do what i could have done in the first place.

Stealer? maybe not. but not too concerned with repeat business were they?
