Hey Gang!

Does anyone know for certain which direction the "H" shaped steel inserts install into the housing ("Cowbell")?

More detail: (For those of you that have done this job before): The (2) "H" shaped Inserts are flat on one side and slightly radiused on the other side w/ a hole through the center for the hardened Pin. The pin attaches the (2) "H" Inserts to the Steering Shaft.

Does the "Radiused" side go toward the Housing (Cowbell) OR against the Steering Shaft???

Does this make sense? It's not in the manual..... The manual shows the Steering Coupler as a assembly.

TIA..... KEENO :D

I believe the radiused side goes toward the bell. The hole in the pieces is straight, so if you put the raduis toward the shaft they wouldn't pivot. With the flat side on the shaft and the radius against the bell, it can slip and pivot. If you can come up with the cash, the Borgeson shaft is really nice. They even have a new super *****in shaft with joints at both ends eliminating the rag joint as well.
