Decided since I have 100K on my truck I'd change out the SS.
So, I did my research and bought a Skyjacker. But, when I started the job and I finally looked under the truck I found that there are two. One from the drag link to the frame and one from the tie rod to the front axel. My service manuel only shows the first one so I called my excellent dealer and he said that the heavy duty suspension came with two. Anyway, I changed the first one and found much improvement in the steerilng stability.
I guess my question is, does anyone else have a stock setup like this? If so, and you changed out the second one, what did you replace it with? There's not much clearance between it and the pumpkin. I don't think the Skyjacker would fit.
By the By, this turned out to be an easy job, old one popped right off with a puller.
