I had the same issue when I replaced the front u-joints a few years ago.. I gave up and ran them down to a local driveline shop as i was under the gun and needed to use the truck. I asked the guy how they install u-joints successfully - big hammer and know how to use it properly. I used a press and he told me that's where I went wrong. I have used a press on farm equipment joints without problems - I guess I was just unlucky that day. I don't do this often enough to know any better.
Get the alignment to the Thuren spec - it works! It will take a few miles for the ball joints to loosen up and you will be happy with the steering.

Yeah the lesson learned here is to tap the yoke while gently increasing compression to break it free.
I had soaked the Joints in PB Blaster overnight and just applied pressure till they broke free.

Alignment Done. Looks like it was the ball joints that caused the DW as the truck was aligned (at least total Toe) to Thuren specs

Experienced the Death Wobble  about a year after installing the thuren track bar. Next upgrade would be the steering stabilizer which right now is a bilstein.

anyone know where I can find an equivalent to this? These are on back order everywhere with no delivery date in sight

Worn tires or sourced from WuHan? These trucks are very susceptible to less than precision built tires. Also the only time I got it was a lousy balance job.
