Yeah, I know the steering wander topic has been pretty well discussed to death... But, I just changed my steering damper @ 10,000 miles and it made quite a bit of difference in how the truck tracks over uneven pavement. I used the Rancho RS5404. The steering is now much more controlled and firm. The stocker was definately too soft, I could move the shaft relatively easy. That's not good for a damper trying to control a 3 ton trucks steering. So, before spending lots of bucks on suspension parts, try changing the damper if you're over 10K miles and driving a 4x4. You might be suprised. As always - just my opinion...

Dane:

I wuz gonna change the damper out a long time ago when I bought my RS9000s, but remember reading Rancho didn't have an application for 2000s. This will be my next purchase.

Thanks, Wiredawg
