I have an 03, 3500, QC, LB, SRW and would like some steps. Am thinking of ones with 3 step pads; one for front seat, one for rear seat, & one for the front part of bed.

Other considerations are:

1. steps that don't get slick when wet. (I assume some are better at this than others).

2. steps that are located such that most car doors would bang into my steps rather than the side of my truck

3. steps that are designed to fit an 03 Dodge and don't require cutting/drilling/bending/etc. to install (I'm not good at that)

Thanks,

I'm not sure you'll find anything that fits your third criteria (no drilling). I have the Mopar tubular-style. They match #1 and #2 criteria and the first half of #3 (made for the '03) but required a great deal of careful and not so easy drilling.

Try those from Westin. I've had a set for 4/5 weeks now and am happy with them. I beleive they meet all your criteria. No drilling, bending, etc. Just bolt on.

I have a 2003 LWB Quad cab and have installed a set of stainless wheel to wheel tube steps from ICI. They look good, but I am not sure that I would buy the steps for the long bed if I had it to do again. I don't like the way that they attach to the front and middle body mount and then attach to a fender brace in front of the rear wheel . My concern is that when the truck is in a severe twist, like diagonally crossing a deep ditch then a lot of strain will be put on the fender mounting point and eventually tear the fender. I would look at the tube steps made for the short bed, then there would be no fender mount, only the front and rear body mounts. I know that the step for the bed would be short, but probably OK. The ICI are also too close to the bed, only your toe will fit and then you will kick the bed.

gbraden,

I believe KCJackson made a good recommendation, though I may be a little bias. Today, I just received my WAAG Kickout Step Bars. They will be installed tomorrow. If you like what you see, courtesy of KCJackson, just make sure your reqr for your year truck match their part#. I understand they are developing a chrome version, in addition to the powder black.

If you choose this path, I can give you a recommended web site to order (at the time: free shipping). I also found a entry on the web that documented w/ pictures how to mount them (though full instructions will come with the bars).

Pls advise,
