I have the 6spd now had a 96 5spd w/4. 10 before this one. Love the 6spd but for what I do with it, the 3. 54's stink 1st and reverse isn't low enough and 6th is too high for much trailer weight at 70 mph. and 5th is too low at that spd. I hope DDII's and comp. going in next week will change my mind about 6th gear.



Good friend has 6spd 4. 10 perfect for towing much weight.

Sir can you tell me, as I am considering replacing the auto with a 6 speed, what are the rpms at 70 in 6 gear. I like to tow around 62 or so when I have my back hoe loaded. SO I had thought that 5 gear would be good for that. Do you have 3. 54 gears or ? What kind of rpms are you wonting to have when towing? Thanks for any insight Jim
