I bought a Isspro boost gauge (Foreign built) about 6-7 months ago. after a couple of weeks it started sticking at zero boost and it takes 10lbs or so to get it moving. or a good smack, after that you can monitor the lower boost levels. . I figured it would loosen up in time but it still sticks. I tried hooking the line up to 35lbs and just exercising it but it still sticks. . Anyone have a idea to get it moving proper without pulling my pillar mount?.....

Call them up and see if they will warrenty it. It will not get any better with age.

If you didn't use the hold clamps on the gage it should slide out of the A pillar pod. My AutoMeter gages do.

Thanks Philip,

My USA made Isspro Pyro fits in snugg but the foreign(India?) built boost need the support ring to stay put in the pillar. . I'll probably just get a Autometer replacement if I have to pull the pillar. Crud... If I'd a known at the time ... ... ... ... ... ... .

My autometer does almost the exact same thing. If the truck sits for a few days, it will stick at zero, but it usually moves once boost is up to 5 or so. Doesn't seem to hurt anything, and it has been doing it since it was installed.

Ya... . I noticed my 2 5/16" autometer blower gauge is doing the same thing... I just gotta mash it once to wake the dumb thing up... kinda like the genie and the rubbing part..... crap, I KNOW I'm gonna regret that one... ;)

pb...

Why is it so tough to remove the pillar mount?? I just redid my boost tubing and fittings, and as long as you left some play in the wiring/tubing it shouldn't be difficult.

Sorry to bring this thead back up from the dead, but this sounds very similar to my problem.

Do any of you guys with sticky gauges have a problem with them returning to "0"?

Thanks!
