I test drove a 03 2500 lwb 4x4 yesterday,it rode pretty rough on the freeway . If I buy one,(will be an 04)what can I add to make it ride smoother when unloaded,as this would be my daily driver? Thanks!!

If you are looking for a smooth riding 3/4 ton truck, you need to shop the GM dealers. GM builds the softest riding HD truck out there. Dodge builds the heaviest duty HD truck out there and the ride is a direct reflection.

You could try an adjustable shock, like a Rancho 9000. You could run the tires at 40-45psi, just don't load it up. Otherwise, ITS A TRUCK;)

My 2500 rides better on concrete freeway than the 02 1500 2wd, and the 03 1500 4wd I had prior to this one. I currently have 100 lbs of water softener salt all the way back at the tailgate, and it makes a pretty big difference. 200-300 lbs is even better. I also keep my tires low because I run empty most of the time. If I could find a couple of feet of railroad rail, I would mount it under the rear bumper to keep the bed clear.

On smooth road it rides like a dream.

get a SRW 3500. softer rear springs, bigger brake calipers. nicer ride from what I've heard. I'm about ready to order one myself

Rough Ride?

My girlfriend comments all the time about how much better the 03 3500 rides than the 99 1500 I replaced. The thing rides like a Cadillac. Now, if only I could afford Kelderman air bag suspension!

Nate :)

The first thing I noticed about my '03 3500 DRW was the great ride compared to my previous two, next was the power and finally the great brakes. The smooth six speed was noticed somewhere in the first ride, too. I'm still in love :D :D .

Mine rides better than my 2wd 93 ctd or my wifes 10 year old Eldorado! The only time it gets a little choppy is when you have a series of expansion joints that stick up or when you have too much tire pressue and no load.

Southern cal. is all about expansion joints:D ,and expanded budgets. . etc. ;)

Now my friend has me thinking about getting the 04 HO... now,(the out of state method),due to my location.

Anyone have experiences with the PO box deal?

I have the Michelin 265/70/17's. Right now I am running at 50 psi. How low are some of you going with the air pressure?

Couldn't find anything on the tires or their website.
