Attention: TDR Forum Junkies Ok I put in a big line lift pump relocation kit with a new oem lift pump that I had as a spare. Did this because orig lift pump would not come on. All of this started when wife parked in driveway; when I went to move it before our vacation, no start and no fuel pump noise.
Ran the new pump manually to purge air out of system. Stll no start. So I cracked two injector lines loose; same resuly. Made an adapter from VP44 return to tank banjo and drew a vacuum as the lift pump was cycled. This worked extremely well on the VW Jetta diesel we own. All air finally came out, nothing but clear diesel. Still no start. I did verify that the computer was calling for the VP 44 relay. I am charging the batterys now and wil try some more tomorrow.
