Your just on the wrong forum dude, these guys don't really deal in "stock" trucks. No one means any disrespect, try the 3gen forum. :D

Sorry man I guesse with 105 post you know where to try, my bad.

Dyno'd one of the new 350 or 360 horse maxi-pads with the 6 speed Allison the other night put down a very impressive 288/513 to the ground on a Mustang Dyno. And it only had 57 miles on it!

All dyno results on our shop dyno, Dynojet 248HW. All trucks automatic, 4WD, crew cab longbed. Stock. Zero correction factor. Elevation 50', ambient air temp around 60.

Dodge:

Rated at 325/610. At the wheels: 282/525.

Ford:

Rated at 325/570. At the wheels: 237/420

GMC:

Rated at 325/605 (LLY engine). At the wheels: 275/475. Have not dynoed an LBZ yet.

The Ford numbers appear very low, espeically for torque, even for stock. I know my Ford stock can beat the heII out of my CUmmins stock. Under load, it pulls better as well. I suspect the transmission has alot to do with it.

Naaaa. Because they have two extra, the v8's just have smaller pistons and shorter stroke. This enables them to rev much faster, get up to speed much faster with overall slightly less power than the 6. If all else was stock and equal, the v8's should win every race. I'm not so sure on the towing comment though. Stock for stock, the 6 cylinder's torque at highway speeds when you have 15K behind you is awful hard to beat. Of course, if your not pulling an awful lot of weight, the V8's do just fine.

My bad, it doesnt even make as much torque as the dodge :p

Sure, it'll probably go up with more mileage, but I expected more than that

Two different dyno's champ. 288 stock LBZ on a mustang is damn impressive. Set er free on a dynojet with that vg turbo, and you'd have much higher hp number.
