I own a 2002 2500 quad cab SRW(see signature). The body side moldings only cover the front and rear doors (quad cab doors). It does not go any further. I thought it looked incomplete, as if they forgot to finish it on the assembly line. After some research I found out they started getting cheap and have left them off trucks from 99 on.

So, I ordered the molding for the bed of the truck and now have it on both before and after the rear wheel on the bed...

But, After looking at some 98's I realize that the modling on the quad cab doors should actually extend past the door and onto the small rear part of the back of the cab. The molding on the 2002's do not do that and it now bugs me. Does anyone know the part numbers to order the new pieces for the quad cab doors and that little piece at the back of the cab??

I know that this has been brought up in the past and I have searched the archives thoroughly but cannot come up with an answer. I am hoping someone can help.

Thanks

P/N 55076542 is the piece to the rear of the cargo doors. The same part number is used for both sides.

The moldings on the cargo doors are actually different from one side to the other.

P/N 55076538 is the Right Cargo Door

P/N 55076539 is the Left Cargo Door

I took the cheap/easy way out, and got some nice stick-on stuff at Kragen that does the job nicely (for me... ) - one roll is enough to go down both sides and also the tailgate... this is about the best pic I have of it:

#ad

Not an exact match - but does the job...

Double-sided sticky stuff. The service manual actually has a procedure for taking them off. Heat the area with a heat gun to 100 degrees F, then pull.
