MY TOP SPEED IS ONLY 108 WHATS UP WITH THIS? I think larger tires are in order:)

I am going to check this with GPS

I seem to get an extra bump of power at about 110 mph. The Drag UFM from DD fuels all the way to 115 and I can hit 117 mph. That is with egt's up in the 1450* range. Boost is around 28 and I have the 4. 10's... . Where is this little "Red Truck" I'll get em for ya... :D

Cat,

I only ran it up to red line. or around there. I have 3. 7 and an auto trans.

I was at that speed and trying to keep this kid in an green mustang away from me, it was just the two of us on 55 and he was tryed to run me off the road or just showing off seeing how close he could get in front of me by cutting me off at 110mph. well after 15 mins of this, I just ran him off the road and he left me alone after that.

I dont understand how with the same horsepower the 3. 73 and 4. 1 have almost the same top speed?

can someone explain:confused: I need more speed than 110 that sucks! 130 sounds more like it :) I guess it will have to put 35's on this bad boy.

Not gonna be easy to find 35's that will hold 130MPH, especially under a 7,000 pound truck.

There isn't much gearing difference between 3. 73 and 4. 10.

I still think a G. V. OD will help out top-speed more than a R&P change, or Tires.

CC,

How are 35's going to help with the lack of power? Maybe your truck just isn't performing up to par.

Dean

35"=gear change=3. 42 gear change this will give me more top end. it is not that the truck doesnt have enough power its the fact that i run out of gear!
