The straight pipe is the only way to let the Cummins talk the talk brother...
Some pathetic PSD near me couldn't be outdone but that V8 still sounds like a V8 through one small pipe.

. My friend is a powerstroke nut, and thinks his truck will sound the same with the open pipe. Ain't no way, the turbo might sound like a jet, but it won't rattle like the ol'B-series buzz buzz humm humm. . . ah just misplaced my mind #ad

I have had a 3. 5" straight pipe (see signature) for about a month and have had several compliments on how nice the Cummins sounds. My neighbor said he loves to hear it start. I have scared a lot of people in parking lots by starting up when they are beside the truck. I love to hear the turbo chirping at an idle and then to hear it wind down when I back out of the throttle. My wife is going to hurt me if I don't quit drving around in the winter with the passenger side window down to hear the purr of a Cummins. She has a new Carhartt coat, I don't know what the problem is????

I run with the window down too. I love it!! The neighbors don't like it though at 4:30 a. m. They will just have to learn to like it. You gotta love that Cummins power sound.

Well, I don't drive with the window down all of the time. Wind chill gets to be a factor at 70+ mph. Blowing snow inside the cab sure makes it hard to see. Rear sliding windows make it sound ok, but I still like the passenger side. Best part is being able to tune out the wife. Huh, I can't hear you, the truck is too loud! I have heard that men don't hear certain pitches as well as women. I have found one that sounds pretty darn good to me.

Straight piped is defiantly the way to go. I have a 3". I want something bigger. Actually I want stacks! Have a few questions. About what is the cost four two 4. 5-5" pipes? Would they look stupid on a 2X4 (lol)? Can I get in trouble with the police with them? Thats about it. But yeah I drive with my passenger window down too so I can hear my turbo spool up and wind down. I've heard straight piped cummins's (would cummins plural be cummi?) with a five speed and when they let of the gas in first or second gear, the turbo spools down really loud. What makes it do that? Happy rammin!
