Carolina, yes and no. Sorry.
In a diesel, we are concerned with EGT because there is no air/fuel ratio. In a gasser, the A/F ratio is everything. With the reduction in backpressure in the gasser, the increase in airflow will "potentionally" lean the ratio to un-acceptable levels and burn a valve or piston. In a diesel, increased air will simply lower EGT.
See, in gassers, when you add fuel, the EGT goes down (which is typically good). In a diesel, adding fuel increases EGT which must be limited in a Cummins to around *1300.
So, now that I have bored you to death, be careful about A/F ratios in gassers.
