Lets hear about the truck that broke in half? Literally?

No, not like in the movie 'Blue Thunder' but that truck was perfectly straight when they hooked him to the sled. Green 2nd gen regular cab 2500, twin stacks, nice truck.

Halfway down the track it looked like it was hunch backed, right at the cab, bed joint! I've never seen that before. You guys?

I seen a regular cab like Kent's bend at Scheids I think in 05. But never seen one break in half!!:eek:

Any Mods show up?

Six, I think. I know the trucks but I don't know the owners 'cause a couple have been sold. Help me out here.

Stacey's Black Dodge with the Flames on it. 306'? The winner. The rest I don't know the order, but they were... .

Tery Martin? The red 'Martin Farms' reg. cab Dodge. A cool new (to me) bodyshell. Ratical Ram II. 302'?

Curt Haisley? The orange and silver 'Off Constantley' Dodge out of Haisley Machine. About 245'?

Kent Crowder. Scheid Black 3500 Dodge with Lightening Bolts all over it. 300 even?

How'da ya Like Me Now? Purple and Orange Dodge. Owner ?? Around 250'?

And a Blue and Black Dodge 2500. Great looking truck. Lost power around the 250 foot mark.

That truck is Dave Radzeirez he won the vegas DHRA nationals this year and he is also a TDR member. sorry if i spelled the last name wrong.

I got a Vid of sunday street SS and Mod , Im putting it up tonight

What can you say about that little VP hmm VP = Verocious Pump ?

I got a vid of another stage3 on the dyno he was going to pull but got DQ his bushing wasnt 3/4 , the maker of the pumps was there in his truck but I dunno if he made any passes with it

No teching of RPM, they did ask me if I had a recall tach at the end of the pull. I heard that Harness got DQ'd on saturday for 4600.

Yes, there was teching of rpm. Many warnings were handed out to get recalls, and two were thrown out.

Consider asking you for a recall a warning.

Most were 4200 and down.

one 4499.

One 4600, one 4999. It sounded gooodddddd!

Do you Street guys who pushed so hard for the limit, think the rule is working out? Yes or no?

Hey Gene, I got a comment:

Lighten the sled up a bit, makes for a better show if we can pull it a bit faster/farther and its not so hard on the trucks... . that way nobody breaks their truck in half trying to get down the track! Every other puller I talked to said they preferred a little lighter said as well as myself.

Flame away!

I never met a puller that didn't want a light sled. :-laf

2wks before, you may remember Ray having trouble getting you guys whoed at Gaston. He went home and freshened up his grouser bars.

The sled was plenty light, it just drug realllll hard when the steel hit the ground.

Nobody had trouble shaking it loose-except the hero gear boys.

Remember, there should only be a few trucks around 300.

I will be the first to say the old sleddy was right, the RPM limit made the street class a bore to watch. Lets all hope for 2. 8 no bushing and let them sing next year.

I believe Darren Smiths truck is no longer stage 2, but a stage 3... . and yes it's blue--not sure about the EDGE sticker though, as he was running a REDLINE for RPMS ... ... .

congrats Justin... ... . chris

Still a Stage 2 last I heard. Truck was pretty impressive to watch.

When I talked to Rick a couple of weeks ago he said they were upgrading it specifically for Indy---but maybe they didn't get it done---but it sure did run good and that's the bottom line---chris

It was not my weekend. Very poor set-up on sat. Sleddys track kicked my tail!!!!!Then on sunday I had a much better set-up but lost the front ring and pinion around 225'. But Im getting used to ring and pinions at IRP-last year it was the rear r&p. Straleys kickin butt, hell get his set dialed in-and remember he was pulling on DOT's. The other mod were on top of there game. The super streets kick but this year and some of the street trucks are tearin it up also.
