Competition LOOK at this!

Okay... let's get some things straight...

I thought that Chris was upset over my comments about his original post about his races and TC/etc. I didn't intend any flames, I was just confused.

Chris - your opinion of me may be a bit skewed since all you ever saw me do in Muncie was drink and pick on Stefan.

Drew (of all people... . well maybe Gene and J. R. too... ) knows that I am here for the betterment of our obsession... . and if there's any opportunity to have a good time - I'm there! If I do get upset over something - you'll know about it. I call it like I see it... . just like a Texan would - except I don't have any manners. :D

Hope this clears up the issue a bit... .

i don't seem to get into many street races anymore but this one last saturday was perfect. we were coming back from snowmobiling and were going thru a town with a speed limit of 35mph. my truck had a sled on my sled deck and i was pulling a 2 place open trailer. he had a 4 place open trailer with 3 sleds also. all i could see is that it was a ford.

when the speed limit went back to 70mph i hit resume on the cruise and the race was on. heck his truck was even smoking. i went around him and saw he had a row of guages. this just made me smile.

now about a mile up the road there is a 6%grade pass. i laughed to my buddy and said that guy is telling his passengers we will catch him on the hill. so i hit the base of the hill and slowed down to about 60mph so he could catch up. he pulled up behind me and the race was on!! this time his truck was smoking grey, like when i used to run lpg. i let off the throttle at about 115mph and he was a long way back. he never did catch back upto me i guess he didn't want to play anymore. :{ man those twins work good.

Jim:

EGT, rpm, and boost numbers at 115mph would be nice to see... . :D

Mine gets sorta hot at high rpms..... :)

BTW, how in the heck can you get 115mph out of your truck - 3. 55's?! I can hit MAYBE 100 or so... . but that's it. (4. 10's)

i have 3. 54's. i was running 60psi at 1200. i'm only running stage 2 injectors for the winter. i'm going to pull my axles apart on the sled trailer, i don't think they were happy at that speed.

Last time I pulled a stunt like that, it cost me $1495. Put a slight dent in the BOMBing budget, but come tax time... :D  Oo.

Jim: Okay, that's still not too shabby even with II's... . Everytime I see someone passing me at 85mph headed north with sleds loaded on a trailer - I'm jealous. The tables turn when I see them on the side of the road with a flat on the trailer... . them little tires (and axles... ) don't like high speeds.

and now.....

... ... the rest of the story :p

Well, the cop that stopped me (not from here) wasn't real humorous about the whole deal even though I felt so stupid I had to laugh. :-laf So he takes my license and about that time I see one of the deputies that IS from here pull up and get out. They confab for a few, I see the deputy I know look over and see who it is and start laughing hisass off and shaking his head and then they call me back there. The one that stopped me gave me my license back and laughed and told me not to do that again 'cause he couldn't breath with all that smoke  I said, "No problem won't happen again," and hit the road.

Dan you LUCKY DOG!!!!!! I woulda gotten some time in the crossbar hotel for that!! I would have been practicing my "no that is NOT my soap!" in my manliest voice when he walked of with my license!!!

I had a nice one on Friday night. A nice looking Chevelle was right in front of me turning on to a highway. He nailed it and naturally, I did too. He stayed in the merge lane and I switched over to the outside lane. At about 1/8 of a mile, I caught and passed him at a pretty good clip. It was dark, so I couldn't get a good look at him, but I could tell he was sure staring as I went by.

I was heading Hwy 35 to Richmond a couple of weeks ago. This road tends to have a lot of the slower traffic on it, but 70 mph is possible.

I came up behind a new Marauder occupied three times. They looked to be in their thirties. In front of him was a silver Alero, travelling at 60 mph. The Mercury driver was showing his friends how powerful his new car was by slowing down to abut 35 and then gunning it until he about ran into the back of the Alero. This was driving me nuts! I decided that the first chance I get, I will wait for him to drop back and then I will eat his a$$.

I wasn't real sure if ol' girl could do it since it was 10F out, I have put a stock plate in the pump slid all the way back and we have that lovely 50/50 fuel blend right now. Basically, she feels like a slug!

Anyway, it took around 10 miles before the chance and when he dropped back I slid into the oncoming lane, he was so busy talking to his passenger he didn't notice until he was next to me! I put the hammer down and so did he, I pulled about two car lengths on him and we evened out. I got around the Alero and kept going. I'm sure his friends won't let him forget that butt whooping!

Hey CP,

What do you think I am stupid or something? I was being sarcastic; he made a reply to one of my racing stories to that effect, so I was just gettin him back. :D

Nice to see you check'n in Daniel since you abondoned us for DTR! :-laf

Yikes! Easy Kujo! Down Daniel.

I knew it was in jest, I deserved it because of my weak excuse of a DHRA plug earlier. :D
