Competition Who's going to Redding CA?

Competition BBD For sale??

Turbomatt1, what size slick did you go with? What's your best 60'? I went with 33x15. 50's, though I'm wondering if a 30x14 might have been better. . What does your truck weigh? This is my pro street attempt. I'd like to be close to the big guys, though it probably won't happen.

the slicks I'm running now are 1200x16's (33x13. 50) I picked up 2-3 mph over the 31 inch tires I ran prieviously. 1. 8 60's, launching at 10psi are consistant. 1. 7's are

possible if the track is right. Suspension is all stock, as I still use the truck to tow with. weight is about 5850 with me & the tailgate onboard.

pro street is already a 10 second class... & those trucks are a lot more "pro" than "street" ;-) ... I run "farm Truck" which is more of a daily driver class. Low 12's will put you with the best of us.

Thanks for the info. . If I had it to do over again, I might have went for the FTRL. I've spent too much on this set up to go back now. . I'm trying not to expect too much out of it at the first race. It's probably going to find a weak link that I've missed. I guess we'll see what happens if I can get it ready for KY. .

Now with the rear ends blowing apart like that, how about the T Case? driveshafts?

I guess that's the price you pay for more power, everything else needs to be able to handle it.

I imagine its only a matter of time before my LD transfer case explodes. . heck I put heavier parts in and break those while the other (weaker) parts lay collecting dust in the garage, still intact... :-laf

Yeah what rigs came with the 241 HD? My truck is just a 241. I was working on my buddy's 01 2500 and he has the HD. It has a PTO cover on it, and is BIG compared to mine. I tried distracting him so I could "borrow" it, but that didn't work. haha

Not all 5 speeds have HD transfer cases. We just installed cluthches in a 2000, and a 2001 models both with the stick, 2500, QC, and BOTH had the same itty bitty 241 transfer case my 97 auto has.

If you want to talk about a BEEFY looking transfer case, my brothers 96 PSD has a HUGE borg warner unit in it. It would make two of the 241 :-laf . But i havent laid eyes on a 271 HD case yet so i cant compare there :D

My buddy's truck is an auto. 2500HD (camper package)... same as mine. I thought it was something they changed over the years since mine is a 98 and his is an 01

Hey guys. . I'm a moron. . I ordered a mag hytec rearend cover for the dana 70, and it was way too small. . I already have the 80. . It was a nice surprise though. . I didn't know 80's came in 3\4 ton trucks. . Now I do. . haha Hopefully I won't break that...

My early '94 (no cat) 3500 4X4 auto has a HD. No camper package either. As I recall, the earlier 2nd gens 3500's and 2500's with the camper package had the HD. This changed somewhere around '98?
