Morning fellows, well , after 260k miles I finally stripped my threads on the oil pan. Took it for granted I guess. Any easy fixes that don't require a new pan? Thanks for your time. Fabian

I Would need to see whats left of threads to decied witch opption ,
That hole is larger then most thread chasers , but you may be able to find one , [ a thread chaser will reform the threads , not cut - you do not want to use a tap because you want as much of what is still there to stay ] .
The next is also tricky , with the oil pan empty , use some diesel -down the oil fill hole to flush , maybe a qt. or 2 , when that stops dripping , spray with brake cleaner , you want to get this as clean & dry as possible , then use Permatex Thread/gap filler , not the lock stuff [ liquid ] , but the filler , almost like very thin putty , to glue in one of the drain valves avalible for this , [ Geno's garage - one of the sponsers here .

My guess is that an easy drain plug on this page would do it if the threads stick up far enough into the pan. Genos Garage. Find a nut large enough for the threads and hopefully you can fasten that on the pan. You'll have to drop the pan to do this but you won't have to buy a new pan.
